Acclaimed for her work in watercolor, oil, pastel and silverpoint, Ms. Stone has presented solo shows at the French Library, Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, Wellesley College Botanic Garden, the Milton Art Museum, and the Newton Free Library.

Her portraits are distinguished by her ability to capture character and personality in informal and formal settings with transparent watercolor, luminous oil, and free-flowing use of pastel.

Ms. Stone brings her unique vision to florals and landscapes, capturing the light and beauty of nature.

Daniel E. Greene, Charles Reid, Burton Silverman, and Robert Cormier are among her teachers. Her mother, artist Grace Stone, was her childhood painting mentor.

Ms. Stone's visual art career evolved out of her successful and recognized career in opera performance and education. She received the Massachusetts Governor's Citation for educating over 500,000 schoolchildren through music.

Her paintings hang in private collections internationally and may be seen at her studio in Newton, Massachusetts by appointment.
