Portraits    Landscape	Artist's Statement I strive to create unique and beautiful works that speak with their own voice and bring people pleasure. I began my painting career using watercolor. Several years later, oils tempted me and offered another dimension to my work. Pastel and silverpoint (drawing with a silver wire on a prepared paper) expanded my range of expression and further refined my ability to capture the mood of my subjects. The transparency of watercolor, the intensity and depth of oil, the immediacy and energy of pastel, and the delicacy of silverpoint all inspire me.
